Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Coder to work in a
hematology/oncology clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Review documentation of professional services and assign correct
CPT, ICD-9-CM, and HCPCS codes
Enter billing information into EPIC Resolute and establish
procedures for insurance billing activity
Perform audits for levels of service and diagnosis coding,
providing feedback to management
Required Qualifications
Two years of experience in hospital or professional services
coding
Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)
Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
Knowledge of CMS documentation compliance
Ability to coordinate billing information and resolve issues with
providers
