Job Description Our organization is seeking a Signal Support
Systems Specialist II to ensure the flow of communication in our
military units. This role involves integrating signal systems and
networks, performing signal support functions and maintenance on
authorized signal equipment, and installing, operating, and
maintaining radio and data distribution systems. Advanced team
members also oversee and train other soldiers, provide technical
assistance and training for automation and communications
equipment, prepare maintenance and supply requests, and perform
preventative maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining radio and data distribution systems
- Performing signal support functions and technical assistance
for computer systems
- Providing technical assistance and training for local area
networks
- Maintaining equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and
power generators Skills Required:
- Mechanical and electrical principles
- Preventive maintenance procedures
- Line installation and wiring techniques
- Communication security policies and procedures Qualifications
and Requirements:
- Interest in working with electronic equipment and an aptitude
for problem-solving
- Must pass physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Military enlistment in the army national guard
- Between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be at least a junior in high school or have a GED
certificate or high school diploma
