Iowa Eye Center in Cedar Rapids is now hiring for a Contact Lens
Technician!Iowa Eye Center is a physician-owned practice that sees
patients from a large geographic area. Local solo practice
ophthalmologists founded the group practice in 1992, and there is a
large group of employees that have been here since the beginning.
It's a great place to work! There are 7 physicians and 55
employees. We are currently searching for someone to join our team.
This is a full-time position.Key Responsibilities:
Fit all types of lenses, including
soft, RGP, multi-focal, Toric, and Keratoconus Evaluate proper
contact lens fit through slit lamp examination Supervise quality
control within the contact lens department Maintain stock inventory
of contact lenses and supplies What we are looking for:
Experience with fitting contact
lenses, but would train a well-qualified ophthalmic assistant or
optician Experience with Ophthalmology and/or Compulink EyeCare
Advantage and NextGen EHR would be great but not required
Experience with Ophthalmic and Medical terminology
Detailed-oriented person Ability to work independently on a
day-to-day basis with minimal supervision Ability to communicate
with your co-workers, physicians, and medical personnel Ability to
communicate effectively and compassionately with patients Benefits:
