  • Job Details
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in Waterloo, Iowa at Allen Hospital.
  • Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.
  • This is a Med-Surg need, caring for post-operative surgical patients.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of Med Surg experience including Post Op experience.
    • Telemetry strip reading experience encouraged.
    • Hospital experience strongly desired.
    • Travel experience desired.
    • Ability to float internally to other like units.
      • Schedule Information
      • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 on day shift and 1:4/5 on night shift.
      • OT billed after 40 hrs/week regardless of weekly guarantee.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • 28-bed unit caring for post-operative surgical patients.
        • Nurses are trained to read telemetry strips and take care of cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, Insulin.
          • Additional Details
          • Travelers must be COVID vaccinated; Medical/Religious Exemptions provided upon request.
          • Candidates with a taxable home address within 60 miles of the facility location will be billed at a rate 10% less.
